What is ISO 45001

ISO 45001 is a worldwide-recognised standard in the field of occupational health and safety management. The ISO 45001 standard defines the guidelines and requirements for an Occupational Health and Safety Management System.

Work-related accidents or occupational injuries are serious dangers that can cause productivity falls in terms of staff absence for example. These failures can cost businesses inevitable losses with regard to increased insurance premium and early retirement.

The ISO 45001 standard contains important requirements to set up/build up a framework that empowers your business to implement occupational health and safety performances/services. With the ISO 45001 standard, your business is able to increase your business performance by providing a stronger employee protection and diminished occupational risks.

ISO 45001 was published on 12 march 2018 and will replace the existing OHSAS 18001 standard following a 3-year migration period terminating 11 March 2021.
